Established in 2020 and located in Ålesund, Norway, Alotta (formerly Inseanergy) was founded with the mission of reducing emissions. The aquaculture industry had a clear need to transition away from fossil fuels, and as a sector the team was familiar with, it made sense to start there. Alotta developed floating solar systems to tackle this challenge.
As a result, the company's turn-key solutions for the aquaculture industry, built on repurposed fish farming cages, emerged as Alotta Solar Hybrid. Several fish farmers have already adopted this solution, using the technology to power their operations.
After making an impact in the aquaculture industry, Alotta is now expanding into new sectors and industries that heavily rely on polluting energy sources. Moving forward, they are working on developing and providing zero-emission energy systems across various industries, making renewable energy accessible to everyone, regardless of location.
