The construction and property industries generate about 40% of the world's emissions and use 40% of our resources. The industry is also among the world's least digitized, which slows down both green initiatives and growth.

Spring 2019, Renate Straume approached Norselab with her vision of making the industry more sustainable. Together, we founded Varig. Through automated access to source data and by digitizing standards, processes and communication lines, Varig provides owners, tenants and users of buildings with insights to support environmental-friendly decisions.

By giving everyone access to the same information, and making it easier to understand the benefits and consequences of the choices they make, we can greatly reduce the environmental footprint of our buildings.
