The opportunity

We’re looking for a seasoned and versatile communications manager to help us build a leading European impact investing firm.

For the right candidate, the role offers extreme variety and the opportunity to gain skills and experience across a range of activities, from project management of our annual Meaningfulness Report and our flagship event Norselab Impact Day, to running our website and social media, as well as managing our coworking space.

To be successful in the position, you need the ability to seamlessly switch between big-picture strategic thinking and high-precision execution and to manage multiple workstreams at the same time. And more than anything, we’re looking for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit and a can-do attitude.

Main responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate and execute the company’s external communication efforts across PR, events, social media and website, in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Content creation for Norselab’s various communications channels, including thought leadership articles, op-eds, press releases, media pitches, reports, keynote presentations, and events.
  • Project management for Norselab’s flagship investor event “Norselab Impact Day” and for the firm’s annual Meaningfulness Report.
  • Be the expert on how to communicate on sustainability topics with precision and integrity, and assist internal teams and portfolio companies in doing so.
  • Community management of our shared workspace and event space, Thallus. This includes concept development, marketing, follow-up of potential and existing tenants, facilitation of community activities, and event support.
  • Monitor and report activity, progress, and results across your areas of responsibility.

We pay just as much attention to your personality and attitude as your formal qualifications. We hope that you are…

  • Enthusiastic, driven and unpretentious. Grit is your middle name.
  • Resourceful and flexible. Your focus is on finding the best solution for every situation, and always lean in to lend a hand where needed.
  • Both a strategic thinker and a highly effective, structured “doer”.
  • Committed to being thoughtful and truthful when communicating on sustainability topics.
  • Committed to precision - “The devil is in the details”.

Any of these things sound like you? Then we want to talk to you!

More on the experience and skills we covet:

  • Proven experience from a similar position, preferably with international reach.
  • Track record of managing complex communications projects with strong results.
  • Solid communication- and collaboration skills, and a clever pen.
  • Proficient with commonly used software for designing reports, presentations, graphic materials, videos, as well as website editing and HubSpot CRM.
  • Fluency in English and Norwegian.

On the job - what we think you’ll do in the first six months

You collaborate seamlessly with your closest colleagues and know how to navigate the organization. You have developed a solid understanding of our strategic goals and distinctive approach to sustainability, and proactively suggest ways to advance them.

You are aware of your responsibilities and embrace accountability for them. You have created excellent routines for driving progress, and are starting to deliver on our strategic priorities.

Monthly reports provide great insight into our achievements and contribute to creating engagement and pride among employees.
