The B Corp Certification is awarded by B Lab™, an independent, non-profit organization, after a thorough assessment of a company’s commitment to social responsibility, stakeholder governance, transparency, and accountability. By certifying as a B Corp™, Norselab joins a global community of businesses using their influence to create a more sustainable and inclusive economy. This entails a legal commitment to stakeholder governance, a growing corporate governance alternative to shareholder primacy that considers the interests of all stakeholders in their business operations: workers, customers, communities, and the environment alike.

Continuous improvement
Certifying as a B Corp means Norselab steps into a framework for continuous improvement. In the assessment process, Norselab notably achieved the highest score for “mission-lock” in the assessment, as the firm has embedded its purpose to contribute to positive social and environmental change into the governing documents. However, there is still progress to be made to improve the firm’s approach to sustainability, particularly on operational aspects. Norselab has developed a roadmap of improvements to consider over the next few years. To uphold its certification, Norselab will undertake the assessment and verification process every three years, ensuring that the company meets evolving standards set by B Lab.
