Our Impact Philosophy

Norselab has developed its own impact philosophy: “Meaningfulness”. When we began shaping our impact approach, we wanted to step away from mainstream "ESG" and "sustainable investing" practices and rethink how we could invest in ways that drive the scale and depth of change needed to ensure our planet remains livable for future generations. This reflection resulted in the Meaningfulness philosophy.

Guided by the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as our North Star for impact, we aim to align our efforts with the global blueprint for a sustainable future. The SDGs define the essential changes needed in the world, and shape what positive impact means for us.

3 Pillars for identifying impact

New test 1

Product-driven impact | We seek to create positive impacts through the companies’ revenue-generating products and services.

Net-positive contribution | We account for both positive and negative effects of companies, and aim to invest in net positive.

Impact that matters | We believe in transforming global industries where we can create impact at scale.
