Who we are
With an uncompromising focus on creating a meaningful future for all, Norselab's growth equity fund attracts diverse sources of capital towards achieving the UN SDGs. Our growth equity fund, Meaningful Equity I, aims to invest in companies whose products and services contribute to industry transformation and systems change.
Meaningful Equity I is governed by our Meaningfulness framework and classified as SFDR Article 9, while seeking long-term superior capital returns. The fund is managed by Norselab Investment Management AS.
Our story
Norselab has roots back to 2015 when serial tech entrepreneur Yngve Tvedt launched a venture studio focusing on a co-founding model for meaningful technology companies. With a handful of fellow investment professionals, he successfully invested in- and built a dozen technology companies.
From 2018 onward, Yngve Tvedt started reflecting on how to scale the business further and expand opportunities for impact. He then joined forces with Erik Syvertsen, bringing more than two decades of governance experience in international asset management, and Maria de Perlinghi, a seasoned executive with experience across sustainability and communications. Together with the team, they set out to become part of a new breed of asset managers that are purpose-built for impact investing.
In 2020, the new Norselab emerged. Having invested heavily in building a governance rig suitable for institutional investors and structuring the impact philosophy and framework, the team launched its first growth equity fund on the platform in mid-2020.
