Tackling the world's 2 billion tons waste problem
WasteIQ aims to tackle the world’s 2 billion tons waste problem. By collecting data at the place and time where waste is thrown, their technology generates valuable insights about resources that are available for reuse, repurposing or recycling.
Today, most of these resources remain trapped inside an unspecified category of «trash». Thanks to WasteIQ, waste management companies, malls, commercial property and residential properties are may create incentives to reduce residual waste and increase the sorting rate. As they do this, they also contribute to creating a classification system for different types of waste, building the foundation of tomorrow’s large-scale circular value chains. WasteIQ was established in 2017 in Bergen, Norway.
Their product has proven its value and potential, and the company is ready for scaling and expansion. To date, the company has 6 employees.
